History of Profialis Group of companies

In 1952, WYMAR was born and christened. All types of household and packaging products were placed in this company.

One year later, on 1 May 1953, PLASTIVAL SAS was established by Henri de Moustier in Clerval, France.

In 1967, in Oeselgem, Belgium, WYMAR started up the extrusion department with the purpose of producing plastic window and door profiles for the European market.

WYMAR continued to expand steadily and, in 1987, established the logistics subsidiary PROFEX in Avion, France, to supply its French customers.

A new period of growth began with the acquisition in 1995 by TESSENDERLO GROUP, an international chemicals group with more than 100 establishments in 21 countries.

In 1998 and 1999, the operations were further expanded into Central and Eastern Europe by means of the establishment of sales subsidiaries WYMAR POLSKA in Wagrowiec, Poland, and the WYMAR HUNGARY subsidiary in SzigetszentmiklĂłs, Hungary.

The next milestone was the establishment in 2009 of PROFIALIS GROUP, the merger of the three companies PLASTIVAL, PROFEX and WYMAR.

In February 2013, PROFIALIS GROUP was acquired by OPENGATE CAPITAL (www.opengatecapital.com). Profialis will be the development platform for the construction operations of OpenGate in Europe.

Our organization was set up with this goal and our baseline "Profile the future" is the expression of our commitment.

PROTECTION: our priorities are respect for the environment, the future of our planet, security and recycling. We are one of the first to utilize lead free raw materials for all new product ranges. We are member of Vinyl Foundation 2010.

PRODUCT: we will develop performant and aestetic product ranges that are the answer to the technical, architectural and legal requirements of our markets. Our products will be easy to manufacture and to use. We will provide adapted color ranges ( foiled and/or Color-line painted) as well as a vast service concept.
